The ninth edition of the prestigious FT Business of Luxury Summit took place from 2-4 June 2013 in Vienna, at the magnificent surroundings of Palais Liechtenstein.

Over 400 representatives of the luxury business, industry leaders, financiers and corporate executives gathered once again to discuss the main issues of the glamorous, premium, international and inspiring world of luxury.

This year's theme was "Power, politics and profits". Statistics show that the luxury business is increasingly characterized as one of the strongest and still growing industries during the global recession.

The examples of success stories in the industry are numerous, the contribution to the fiscal reserves and employment are increasing, not only in economic but also in the political world.

That is why, for a day and a half, panelists and guests of the Summit discussed how the growth of the luxury business could contribute for the overall improvement of the economy.
