Ladies and gentlemen, iPhone 6 plus iPhone 6 Plus!
19 September 2014 – yet another remarkable date in technology’s history. Most of the people watching the live stream or being at the presentation itself already knew most of the things that was going to be presented, but somehow it was unknown and mysterious.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are Apple's thinnest phones yet, measuring in at 6.9 and 7.1mm, respectively. For example the 5s was 7.6mm thick. Both devices contains the prominent antenna bands on the back. The volume buttons are in a shape of a pill and the power button has been moved to the right side of the corpus. The iPhone 6 measures in at 138.1 mm long and 67.0 mm wide, and weighs only 129 grams. The iPhone 6 Plus measures in at 158.1 mm long and 77.8 mm wide, weighing 172 grams.

Rumors suggested that Apple would use a sapphire display cover for both devices, but that turned out to be false. Instead, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus used ion-strengthened glass with an improved polarizer, a photo aligned IPS liquid crystal display, and a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1334 x 740, meaning 326 ppi, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5-inch with resolution of 1920 x 1080 meaning 401 ppi. Both devices are said to offer improved white balance, higher contrast and better brightness.

The two phones also offer improved battery life, but due to the larger size of iPhone 6 Plus, it is able to accommodate a larger battery. Apple said that the iPhone 6 can last up to a day and a half on average, while the iPhone 6 Plus can last up to two days on a single charge.

Both the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have a A8 processor with a 64-bit structure. The chip is smaller than the A7 in the iPhone 5s and it's also able to deliver 25 percent faster CPU performance, which is an amazing achievement.

Both devices have the 8-megapixel f/2.2 rear camera, but with a several new features, that will result improving picture quality. The first major new thing is called Focus Pixels and it’s designed to speed up autofocusing by providing the sensor with more information about an image, while improved auto image stabilization will compensate for slight amounts of motion blur and hand shakiness. Video options now allow to capture 1080p HD video at 60fps. There's also a new 240fps slo-motion mode, and time-lapse video, which was introduced with iOS 8.

The Touch ID is included in both models, like the IPhone 5S. With iOS 8, which ships on the iPhone 6/6 Plus, Touch ID will become even more powerful, thanks to third-party Touch ID integration.
